The main focus of the Baumann Foundation is an initiative called Being Human. The cornerstone of the Being Human initiative is BeingHuman.org, a web-based magazine and community.
In general, Being Human organizes conversations and events to explore the nature of human experience from an evolutionary, scientific, philosophical and contemplative perspective.
Being Human 2012 - The Science Of Human Experience
On March 24th 2012 we hosted -- the first annual Symposium where leading scientists and philosophers presented scientific and philosophical insights that are reshaping our understanding of human nature and our experience of daily life.
Video recordings of the proceedings of Being Human 2012 are available online for free on-demand streaming at beinghuman2012.org.
In preparation are two events, Being Human 2013 and Being Human 2014 tentatively call 'Being Human – The Experiment' and
'The Future of Being Human’.

The Baumann Foundation Collection at CIIS
The Foundation recently made a contribution to the California Institute of Integral Studies for its library to develop a collection of books related to the mission of the foundation.
